Copywriting: SATISFY SS26 DESERT RATS

DESERT RATS is a SATISFY campaign I helped name with the team. It follows three SATISFY Pro Athletes, Stian Dahl Sommerseth, Vaida Nakrošiūtė, and Max Jolliffe, on a road trip through Chile's Atacama Desert, from the open road into the Valle de la Luna. The story tracks the group between 2,000 and 4,000 meters, where the body has to adjust to sun, dry air, and long stretches of effort.

The creative team built scenes rather than a features list: a blacked-out muscle pulled off the road, hood up, dust settling over three runners resting before the next stretch. The Summer Collection performs inside those scenes. My copy followed the same rule, staying close to what a runner actually does at altitude and in dry heat, and letting the gear's function come through in that action.

Two pieces needed extra attention. SpaceLace™ joined the collection as a new fabric system, and the River Shirt Short Sleeve, one of SATISFY's most recognized pieces, came out in a new perforated build. Both needed copy precise enough to sit next to a name that guests already know, without losing the specificity the rest of the campaign runs on.
