Editorial Guidelines: Equans

I developed the editorial guidelines and Tone of Voice framework for Equans in collaboration with Plume Rédaction, creating a shared language system for a global organisation operating across cultures, disciplines, and markets.

Rather than enforcing a rigid voice, the project establishes tone as a flexible compass. Built around four pillars, insightful, confident, empathic, and enthusiastic, the guidelines help teams adapt their communication to context while maintaining a coherent Equans identity, from technical content to leadership messaging and sustainability communications.

The work focuses on clarity, inclusivity, and human expression. Complex ideas are made accessible without dilution, expertise is expressed with confidence, and language remains grounded in purpose. The result is a practical tool that supports connection, trust, and consistency at scale, positioning communication as a driver of Equans’ mission to empower transitions toward a more resilient, low-carbon world.
